Running your shop

What your buyer sees at checkout

A quick walkthrough of the checkout from your buyer's side — so you know exactly what you're sharing.

The checkout page

When someone opens your link, they land on a clean checkout page showing your product name, description, image, and the price including VAT (and any discount you set). There's no account to create and nothing to download — it's built to be quick.

What they fill in

Your buyer enters a few details so you have a proper record of the sale:

  • Their name and email address.
  • Their country — this decides which VAT applies (see How VAT is handled).
  • Their billing address.
  • Optionally, a company name and a VAT number. If they're an EU business with a valid VAT number, the VAT is reverse-charged and the total updates to show 0% VAT.

How they pay

Payment is handled securely by Mollie. Your buyer chooses a payment method — such as Bancontact, iDEAL, credit card, or others, depending on what's available in their country — and completes the payment. The page looks like part of your checkout; Mollie does the secure money-handling in the background.

Right after they pay

  • They see a thank-you page confirming the payment, with their order number.
  • They receive an order confirmation by email automatically.
  • If you wrote a post-purchase email and set it to Active, they receive that too — this is where your download link, booking details, or next steps go.

On your side, the sale appears under Orders and you get a notification email. See Reading your orders.
