Essentials · Step 4

Test, edit, and share your payment link

Before you share the link publicly, do one test order — it catches mistakes and confirms the full flow works end to end.

Test the checkout

bookto checkout stores two Mollie API keys: your live key (real payments) and your test key(fake payments for testing). You don't need to switch anything in Mollie — bookto handles it for you.

  1. Make sure your Mollie test key is saved under Integrations → Mollie (see Step 2).
  2. Open your checkout link, fill in the buyer details, and complete the payment using a Mollie test card (Mollie shows the test card numbers on the payment screen).
  3. Check that the order appears in your dashboard with status test — it won't show up in your live orders or affect your real revenue.

Edit the product

You can update the name, description, price, image, or post-purchase email at any time from the product detail page. Changes apply immediately to the checkout link — buyers who haven't paid yet will see the new version.

Grab the payment link

Each product has its own payment link, shown on the product detail page. Click Copy link to copy it. What you can do with it:

  • Send it directly — paste into an email, WhatsApp message, or DM.
  • Put it behind a button — add a "Buy now" or "Book your spot" button on your website.
  • Add it to your bio — Instagram, LinkedIn, email signature, link-in-bio tool.
  • Embed it in a newsletter — paste the URL into a Kit broadcast or any email campaign.
  • Generate a QR code — useful for printed flyers, posters, or business cards.

The link doesn't expire and stays the same as long as the product is active.

What happens automatically after a sale

When a buyer completes a payment, bookto sends emails automatically — no setup needed.

To the buyer:

  • An order confirmation with their order details and your business name, sent from noreply@mail.bookto.eu.
  • Your post-purchase email (if you wrote one and set it to Active).

To you:

  • A sale notification with the buyer's name, email, country, and the product they purchased.

These emails work out of the box on every plan — you don't need to configure anything.
