Essentials · Step 3

Create your first product

Now that Mollie is connected, you can add something to sell. Each product gets its own checkout link.

On Essentials you can create 2 products; on Flow, 5.

Create your product

  1. Go to Products in the sidebar and click New product.
  2. Fill in the basics:
    • Name — what buyers see at checkout (e.g. "Workshop ticket — June 12").
    • Description — a short paragraph explaining what the buyer gets. Shows on the checkout page.
    • Price — enter the price excluding VAT, in euros. bookto handles VAT automatically based on the buyer's country.
    • Currency — EUR is the default.
    • VAT % — the VAT rate that applies to your product (e.g. 21%). Used to calculate the correct VAT amount at checkout.
    • Discount — optional. A discount amount or percentage, shown on the checkout page and applied before payment.
    • Image — optional. A square image works best.
  3. Post-purchase email— write a custom email your buyer receives after a successful payment. Use the rich text editor to format it (max 2000 characters), and toggle it between Draft and Active — only active emails are sent. This is where you deliver download links, booking confirmations, or next steps. Don't forget to mention your own email address in the message so buyers can reply to you.
  4. Click Save.

Your product is now live and has its own checkout link.

Product limits

The product limit counts all products — active and inactive. On Essentials you can have 2 products in total; on Flow, 5. If you reach the limit, you can't create or activate new products until you delete an existing one. Deactivating a product does not free up a slot — only deleting does.

If you downgrade from Flow to Essentials and have more than 2 products, all your products are automatically deactivated. You can then reactivate up to 2 and delete the rest.
