When you share a checkout link on LinkedIn, WhatsApp, Facebook, or almost any platform, it shows a small preview card with a title, a short description, and an image. bookto fills these in for you automatically — but you can set your own per product to make the card more eye-catching.
Where to set it
- Go to Products and click Edit on the product.
- Open the Social preview section.
- Fill in any of the three fields below, then save.
The three fields
- Title — up to 60 characters. Leave it empty and bookto uses your product name.
- Description — up to 155 characters. Leave it empty and bookto uses the start of your product description.
- Image — recommended size 1200 × 630 px, max 2 MB. Leave it empty and bookto falls back to your product image.
Because every field falls back to something sensible, your link already previews nicely even if you set nothing. Fill them in when you want a sharper headline or a purpose-made share image.
Tip:social platforms remember the old preview for a while. If you update the title, description, or image and the old card still shows, that's just the platform showing its saved copy — it refreshes on its own after a while, or you can paste the link into the platform's own preview tool to refresh it sooner.
