Trainer

The personal trainer who stopped invoicing after the fact

You train four clients a week, invoice at the end of the month, and wait an average of two weeks for your money.

The situation

Sarah is a personal trainer. She runs weekly one-on-one sessions and invoices at the end of each month. Sometimes a client forgets to pay. Sometimes Sarah forgets to invoice. It costs her two evenings a month just to keep track.

What she does today

Deliver sessions → send invoice via Teamleader at month-end → wait → follow up → receive payment. Average time between delivery and payment: 14 days. With six clients paying €180 per month, more than €1,000 is outstanding at any given moment.

What she does with bookto checkout

Sarah creates one product: "Personal training — monthly package (4 sessions)" at €180. She sends the checkout link to her client at the start of the month. The client pays, books via the Calendly link in the confirmation email, and Sarah only starts once the money is in.

What happens behind the scenes

Sarah creates the product in her bookto checkout dashboard — title, price, description. She gets a unique checkout URL to share via WhatsApp, email, or her website. The client lands on a branded payment page, fills in their name and email, and pays via Mollie (Bancontact, iDEAL, credit card). The money goes straight to Sarah's own Mollie account — no middleman. The client automatically receives a confirmation email with order details and Sarah's Calendly link. Sarah gets a notification with the client's name, email, and product. All VAT data is captured and ready for her accountant.

The numbers

Sarah saves two evenings a month on invoicing and follow-up. Her cash flow improves by an average of 14 days. At €1,080 monthly revenue, bookto checkout costs her €7 — less than one percent.

Why not an existing platform?

Platforms like Momoyoga or Fitogram combine booking and payment in one flow. That works as long as Sarah only sells sessions. But the moment she also wants to sell an e-book, an online programme, or a workshop, it no longer fits. Then she needs to build a webshop or sign up for three separate platforms. bookto checkout gives her one dashboard for everything she sells. Her sessions, her e-book, her workshop — each as a separate product with its own checkout page. No shopping cart, no catalogue, no overkill.
